Driver License and Identification Card Fees

Effective July 1, 2005, all Georgia driver's licenses and identification cards will be issued for extended renewal periods (up to 10 years). The new fee schedule is shown below. Fees do not reflect a $5.00 discount for mail or internet renewal of driver's licenses. No discounts apply to Identification cards.

DDS Customer Service Centers accept cash, money orders, checks, and credit cards for payment of fees.

* One free name or address change is allowed per license or identification card renewal period. Additional changes will be subject to the full issuance fee.

** Replacement licenses are valid for the remaining renewal period of the license. No changes to information on the license are allowed. If a replacement license is requested within 150 days of the original expiration date, the license will be renewed for a new term at regular fees.
