Motorcycle Safety and Awareness on Fox 31 Good Morning Albany


(Albany, GA – April 2013) – The Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program (GMSP), a part of the Georgia Department of Driver Services, will appear on Fox 31 Good Morning Albany on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 6:00 am, discussing motorcycle safety, awareness and rider education. 

GMSP encourages all drivers of cars, trucks and buses are reminded to look out for and share the road with motorcycle riders, and motorcycle riders are reminded to obey traffic laws, wear DOT-compliant helmets and other protective gear, and make themselves visible by wearing bright colors and using reflective tape. 

GMSP is excited to spread the work to kick-off National Motorcycle Awareness Month with Fox 31 and the Good Morning Albany Show. It is an excellent platform get the “Share the Road” message to motorists and motorcyclists”, stated James Kelly, manager, GMSP. 

Increasing safe riding and cooperation between all road users and motorcyclists will help to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on our nation’s highways.

The GMSP directly operates training sites throughout Georgia.
