Department of Driver Services (DDS) Commissioner Announces Motorcycle License Testing at the 2013 Southern Cruisers Rally


(Commerce, GA) – Department of Driver Services (DDS) Commissioner Rob Mikell announced today that the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program, a part of DDS, will offer Motorcycle License Testing (MLT) at the Southern Cruisers 2013 Rally in Commerce on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Commissioner Mikell encourages all riders to get licensed and trained. “The Mobile License Testing (MLT) Program offers a convenient way for valid motorcycle permit holders to test for their full motorcycle license at community sponsored events throughout the state,” he said.  

Upon successful passing, Georgia motorcycle permit holders can obtain their Georgia Class M license through a 90-day License Test Waiver which is presented at any DDS’ customer service center for license issuance.

The Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program (GMSP) is a part of the Georgia Department of Driver Services. In addition to offering rider education and licensing programs, the GMSP also promotes motorist awareness programs, share the road campaigns, and is focused on highway safety issues affecting Georgia motorcyclists. The GMSP directly operates training sites throughout Georgia.
