Driver Services Commissioner Applauds Selection of Board Member


Governor Reappoints Kelly Gay

Commissioner Rob Mikell, Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS), is pleased to announce the reappointment of DDS Board Member Kelly Gay by Governor Nathan Deal.

 “Kelly’s profound business experience coupled with a genuine interest in our customers makes her a valuable asset to the Board,” said Commissioner Mikell.  “I look forward to our continued work on many more DDS customer service enhancements.” 

Ms. Gay is an original appointee in 2001 of the state driver licensing and testing agency’s Board of Directors.  During her continuous terms, she has served as a member-at-large and Chairperson of the DDS Board.  She currently serves as the DDS Board Secretary.

"I am honored and humbled to be reappointed to the DDS Board by Governor Deal.  It is a privilege to serve the citizens of Georgia alongside the dedicated and committed team that works at DDS," said Ms. Gay.

Ms. Gay is the chief executive officer and president of Omnilink. She is the past chairman, chief executive officer and president of KnowledgeStorm. Prior to joining KnowledgeStorm, she led IBM in the entertainment, publishing, printing, advertising, broadcast, cable and sports markets as vice president of IBM's North American Media and Entertainment Division. In addition to DDS, she serves on the boards of directors of Omnilink, Bank of Atlanta, 1105 Media, Ashworth College, OnBoard, and is a past chairman of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and past president of OnBoard.

She is a magna cum laude graduate of Newcomb College of Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She and her husband, Alan, have two children. They reside in Atlanta.
