Driver Services Commissioner Announces Reappointment of Board Chair
Trummie L. Patrick, Jr. Begins Fifth Term
Department of Driver Services (DDS) Commissioner Rob Mikell recently announced the reappointment by Governor Nathan Deal of Trummie L. Patrick, Jr. as Chair of the Agency’s Board of Directors for an additional two year term. Patrick has been a DDS Board Member since his appointment in August 2004 and has served as DDS Board Chair since August 2006.
Commissioner Mikell commented: “I have had the pleasure of working closely with Chairman Patrick since I joined DDS and know firsthand that he is a dedicated supporter of our team’s shared mission and values. He is an experienced businessman who brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to our Agency.”
Patrick is a University of Georgia alumnus and a United States Army veteran. Since joining State Farm in 1972, he has become a widely respected insurance and financial services consultant. “I am honored to be reappointed by Governor Deal as Chairman of the Board of Driver Services and look forward to a continued working relationship with Commissioner Rob Mikell and his entire team,” said Patrick.
In addition, Patrick is a member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors and a Life Time Member of the President’s Club. He is a Past President of the Roswell Rotary Club and remains active in the organization. Patrick lives in Roswell where he is a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
About the Driver Services Board
DDS is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, comprised of appointees from the Governor, Lt. Governor and Speaker of the House. It is the general policy-making body for the department, approving all rules and regulations promulgated by the Commissioner. The DDS Board meets regularly to review processes and strategies to improve customer service.
